Wintertime In Sweden

Here are some impressions from my trip to Gothenburg and Stockholm in January 2012!

Empty main square (Adolfstorg) in Gothenburg, the actual city town is a huge shopping center, but great for shopping, especially when there is winter sale ;-)

View to the water channel and the old city houses.

Saluhall (Kungstorget) a great food hall in Gothenburg.

Cute city trams in Gothenburg, not only that they have a nice retro charme they are also personalized ;-) The city also has the biggest tramway-system in Northern Europe.

Another stylish building in the city, the central station.

The cosiest "hotel" in the world, we stayed at a friend´s place, a typical swedish house (stuga).

View inside the stuga from the garden, big windows,no curtains and bright light needed as a contrast to the dark of the winter.

Starting point to our wonderful ferry trip to the Södra skärgården.
If you ever dreamed about having an island with your very own stuga, then sweden is the place for you ;-)

Glas sculptur from Edvin Öhrström on the Sergels Torg in Stockholm.
